This week went by fast, didn’t it?! I know we still have one school day left, but it’s Friday, and for me that means dress down {hello jeans and flippies!}, test day {makes the day fly!} , and a little “Fun Friday” movie action… so it’s not too bad!!
Of course, this week was Teacher Appreciation Week, and that’s what has inspired my first good thing. Let’s jump right in!
{1} I had my little ones write acrostic poems and letters for me:
Dear Mrs. P… You are the best teacher I had. Thanks for teaching me everything. Thank you for making *progects*. Thank you for helping me. I wish you are my teacher next year. Love…
I had this little sweetie above for 1st and 2nd grade, and he wants to keep me!! How CUTE!
Dear Mrs. P… You are the best teacher ever. You are also helpful, creative, and nice. You *teached* me a lot that’s why we get smart thanks to you. I am lucky to have a teacher like you. Love…
Melts my heart!!
Check out “A”… absolute fashionista! Love it!!
Anywho, enough *bragging* haha! I put my littles’ acrostics and letters in sheet protectors in a binder. I’m going to make a nice cover and keep it to remember this wonderful class! If you missed the free download for these “I Love My Teacher” worksheets, grab them {here}.
{2} I tackled a project that I planned for this summer:
They’re library sticks, or place holders, for when my kiddos take books out from the library. I had my husband drill a little hole, then I spray painted them with metallic silver spray paint, and tied a colorful ribbon onto them so they can hang from my library cart:
I am going to add numbers to them so my students know which one belongs to them. I got the idea for these from Molly at Lessons with Laughter! Thanks, girl!
{3} Last but not least, I was nominated for The Most Fascinationg Blog of 2012 award:
Apparently, one of my posts {Fun Friday Fotos} was very fascinating! I’m kind of afraid to be in this, because what if I get like, zero votes? That would be depressing, not fascinating!! Haha! Voting starts May 14th, so put it in your calendars! š
Pssst. A couple of my bloggy friends and I have something fun planned for tomorrow, so be sure to check back in with me after school! See you then!! š
I just wanted you to know that I downloaded and used your I love my TEACHER freebie. I volunteer [I'm certified but jobs are hard to come by right now in my area ;( ] right now in a classroom where the teacher really deserves the appreciation so I told her I got last block and the students and I worked on this and surprised her when she came back for dismissal! Thanks again because you gave me the idea!
Your letters to the teacher and acrostic poems came out great. What a great keepsake!
I agree with you about the blog voting. There are so many great bloggers out there. Very tough competition. I may have to pass on this one. I almost folded during the TpT banner contest! Too much pressure!
Thank you for another great article. Where else could anyone get that kind of information in such a perfect way of writing? I have a presentation next week, and I am on a look out for such information.
