I wasn’t sure if I was going to blog about this at first, but it helps me to talk about and share things… and I asked my mom if it was okay, and she said yes…
These are my mom’s parents, my grandparents, on their wedding day.
Aren’t they beautiful?

Yesterday morning, my Grandpa let go of the grass and joined my Grandma in Heaven, after about 19 years apart.  It helps me to think of them together again, young and happy, like in this picture.

My Grandpa was 89 years old.  Here he is on his birthday:
I love, love this picture.  He is so cute!
At 89, he lived a full life.  He fought in and survived WWII.  He married my Grandma and had six children.  He got to watch his eight grandchildren grow up {the oldest is 27– I’m the 2nd oldest– and the youngest is 16}.  He was also able to be at my wedding, which I am so, so grateful for.
Grandpa and all of his grandchildren… I’m in the pink.
I was honored to be asked to make my Grandpa’s memory board.  Crafting is my thing, and making it {with the help of my parents and two cousins} was really special for me:
I love my Grandpa with all my heart, and I will miss him every day.  But I know he is in a better place, reunited with those that passed before him.

I’m staying home from school this week, and I won’t be online much in the next few days, besides to check in every now and then, but I will be back over the weekend.  I hope everyone has a great rest of the week… 🙂
