Happy Thursday, Cupcakes! I am so excited to be stopping in with a NEW PRODUCT!! With a little one, it takes me a *bit* longer to finish something. But hey, it all gets done, and I get baby snuggles, too! 😉
I created a set of practice sheets to help kiddos practice and master word families! The pack is called Word Family Slide & Find for Short Vowels!! You might have seen a little “teaser” on your Instagram feed a few days ago…
Each page includes a cute slider which kiddos will use to create 8 new words, plus a word search with all 8 words hidden inside! On the bottom of the page, there is space for your students to use one of the family words in a sentence.
Here is an example of one in use {by me… I need to practice my word families, too!}.
There are 31 short vowel word families covered in all:
short a: -ab, -ack, -ad, -ag, -am, -an, -and, -ap, -at
short e: -ed, -ell, -en, -ent, -est, -et
short i: -ick, -ig, -in, -ip, -it
short o: -ob, -ock, -og, -op, -ot
short u: -ub, -uck, -ug, -um, -un, -ut
short e: -ed, -ell, -en, -ent, -est, -et
short i: -ick, -ig, -in, -ip, -it
short o: -ob, -ock, -og, -op, -ot
short u: -ub, -uck, -ug, -um, -un, -ut
These printables are fun, engaging, and sure to be a hit among your students! They are great for whole group, small group, or independent practice!
