I’m back for post two today! I wasn’t around Friday for my little “Foto Friday” thing so I’m here tonight for some Sunday Snapshots {which in all honesty I think sounds better, lol}.
I realized that I never posted *any* classroom photos! I had some on my iPhone, so I uploaded what I had and figured I’ll start there 🙂 The pics all happen to be of my chalkboard area, so here goes:
In this pic is a shot of my Class Rules & Morning Routine. I use the stoplight as my noise monitor: the red light says quiet; the yellow light says whispering; the green light says talking softly. Inside the zebra border is where I put my students’ All About Me posters for their week as Super Star. I put mine back in there for the picture. Above the poster is where I put the date:
I have a calendar bulletin board, but I dispay the abbreviated date in the front of the room so my littles can write it on their papers. I put magnets on the back of the apples, and attached those cool wax clips to the apples. I have tons of extra calendar cards, and they slide perfectly into the clips. It makes it easy for me to switch from day to day!
This is the opposite side of the board. There are tons of extra math manipulatives in the filing cabinet. Above that are our cubbies. My kiddos put finished class work in them throughout the day, and at the end of the day they pick up their take-home folders and spelling notebooks there. I have three magnetic book displays from Lakeshore, where I display some monthly books. We count the days of school {and days left ’til summer!} with this awesome chart from Really Good Stuff. My month and day posters are here as well. I don’t have much BB space :sniffle:: so I can’t fit them on the calendar board.
I made these arrows in Word, typed in “yesterday was,” etc., printed them on colored cardstock, cut, laminated, and put magnets on them. It works perfectly!
And one more picture for fun:
My little babies. Zoe is the gray kitty and Jack {aka. Mr. Purr Pants if you read my Currently post} is the orange kitty. Aren’t they the CUTEST?! lol. My husband and I always joke that we used our cute children names on our kittens. Ah, guess we’ll have to think of something else when the time comes!!
PS: I’m soooo close to 1000!!! I can’t wait to throw a HUGE giveaway!!!! Come on, follow me! 😉 hehe
It is amazing how much they get from the calendar time? Sometimes I wonder if there is any reason to have "math" at a separate time during the day.
Can't wait for your giveaway!
